Product Description

From 1896, this is the presentation or title page from a photograph album - a Christmas gift to an A. A. Krause from 19 men (his employees? ... colleagues?) on the occasion of Christmas, 1896, St. Louis, Missouri.

The 19 names have been lettered onto very, very heavy paper (almost a chipboard) in black pen and ink by someone possessing a beautiful calligraphic hand. The card has mellowed to a warm creme color and the top edge is tipped with gold.

The presentation page measures a very grand 16" (40.6 cm) x 11.75" (29.8 cm) and is a bit more than .125" (.3 cm) thick.

Wonderfully, uniquely beautiful ... so very Victorian!

This would be beautiful ... and wonderfully unusual ... to frame - or perhaps it will find its way into your art. Perfect for your studio, as a framed gift to the calligrapher you love.

I will send this out to you flat, protected, and insured by USPS First Class mail.
