Here is a lovely 2-sided paper featuring two beautiful Kay Nielsen works, gleaned from a damaged a 1983 reference book on children's book illustrators.
Both gorgeous prints are from the classic Norse tale, 'The Widow's Son', and were included in the 1914 book, "East of the Sun and West of the Moon". Their captions read -
'And this time she whisked off the wig; and there lay the lad, so lovely, and white and red, just as the Princess had seen him in the morning sun'
'The Lad in the Battle'
Kay Rasmus Nielsen (Danish illustrator, 1886-1957) was popular in the early 20th century during the "Golden Age of Illustration", which lasted from when printing pioneers developed technology to the point that drawings and paintings could be reproduced with reasonable facility.
Nielsen is also known for his collaborations with Disney for whom he contributed many story sketches and illustrations, including his work on "Fantasia" ('Night on Bald Mountain').
The heavy, 2-sided paper measures 8.25" x 11" (18x28 cm), and there are no tears, folds, creases, or marks. Both images will be lovely framed - card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage. Perhaps you'll gift this framed for the new baby's room or for your young reader's corner.
You are purchasing an original 1983 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class Mail.
