Lunar Map and Moon Chart Day Six 1892 Victorian Robert Stawell Ball Antique Astronomy Engraving, Pl 30
From Robert Stawell Ball's 1892 Victorian astronomy atlas, here is a stunning engraving showing our moon as seen on the 6th day of its cycle, along with an accompanying paper showing the same view as a linear map, with location identifications and captioning.
The heavy papers are blank on their reverse and each measures 7" x 8.25" (18x21 cm). The tissue guard remains attached safely to the moon engraving and virtually no tanning seen on either paper. There are no tears, folds, marks, or creases.
A beautiful subject to frame - for your own home decor or to gift to that geeky astronomer you adore. Perhaps this will find its way into your art - tag and card creations, scrap-book making, collage. This is not a photograph ... we're talking 1892 here! The engraving is stunning, 120+ years later!
You are purchasing 2 original 1892 papers and they do not have watermarks. I will send these to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
