From the 1870 Art Journal, here is a handsome study from Sir Edward Landseer, engraved by Charles George Lewis and titled "In the Glen"
The regal deer with amazing antlers caught alert in his pastoral home. Other deer are here as well, but it is this king, strong and elegant, who is the central focus of the piece.
This original 145+ year old black and white engraving is on card and is blank on its reverse. The card has been trimmed and now measures approximately 8.625" x 9.75" (21.9x24.8 cm). Some foxing/damp stain can be seen at the lower left margin. There are no tears, folds, creases.
This is a handsome image to frame for your home decor - for the game room, the library - perfect for your big-game hunter and his man cave. Fantastic to use in your art - card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage.
You are purchasing an original 1870 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
