Product Description
Here is a stunning French pochoir print from Paul Louis de Giafferri's 1925 magnificent folio work - 'History of Feminine Costume from 1037 - 1870'.
Hand-painted on card, these prints are scrumptious. This plate features 18 hand-colored vignettes of decorative embroideries [Broderies] from the era of King Louis XV, the Sun King, 1640-1715. The heavy pochoir is blank on its reverse, measures 10.75" x 14.625" (27x37 cm), and shows edge tanning. There are no tears, folds, creases, or marks.
The colors are bright and lush and there is a French text explanation key at the page bottom. A wonderful paper to frame for your home decor ... or will you use in your art?
You are purchasing an original 1925 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
