From Francois Courboin's 1896 volume, 'Paris Fashion Styles', here is a gorgeous pochoir print - 'Prinking Before the Ball - 1858'.
What is "prinking", you ask? I was fairly certain it doesn't mean "drinking before noon", as it does now ... so I looked it up - "to spend time making minor adjustments to one's appearance; to primp." So there you go.
The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, measures approximately 5.75" x 9.75" (14.6x24.7 cm) and the boxed image measures 4" x 5.75" (10x14.6 cm). The paper shows a light, even tanning with smooth, clear edges and sharp corners.
The signed pochoir print is wonderfully bright and vivid and the paper is clean with no tears, marks, folds, or creases. A gorgeous study to frame for the bath or dressing room, bedroom or sewing studio ... perfect for card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage.
You are purchasing an original 1896 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
