Salvaged from a discarded Joseph Meyer 1886 Konversations encyclopedia, here is a wonderfully bright and beautiful paper featuring men's and women's dress from the years 1624 - 1803.
The paper has a clean vertical center fold and its protective tissue has been placed safely between the page halves so the gorgeous frills, ruffs, pleats, and lovely laces are as bright, vivid, and beautiful as they were 125+ years ago.
This will be stunning framed - for sewing studio or bedroom, dressing or powder room. Perhaps a perfect gift to the theater costume designer you love - or will these 15 historic costumes will make their into your art? Perfect for card and tag creations, jewelry making, collage. And the 115 individual vignettes will be a wonderful addition to your at-the-ready ephemera supply.
The paper is wondrously heavy and is blank on its reverse. It measures 9.5" x 11.625" (24x30 cm) and the paper is smooth clean, without creases, marks, tears, or other folds.
You are purchasing an original 1886 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
