Product Description

Seven bright and beautiful hand-colored spiders are featured on an engraving gleaned from an 1888 Victorian natural history reference. Seven members of the family, 'Drassidae', including the Diving Bell aquatic spider, are featured here in crisp, bright detail, wonderfully vivid and bright.

The accompanying protective paper shows the Latin names and classifications, along with the gender of each spider (and I don't want to know how they found *this* part out!) and will be included with your plate.

The heavy papers are blank on their reverse, with gentle tanning to betray their 120+ years. Each paper measures 4.75" x 7.375" (12x19 cm) and has no tears, folds, creases, or marks. A beautiful natural history study to frame for your home decor, perfect for your art - tag and card creations, scrap-book page making, collage.

You are purchasing two original 1888 papers and they do not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
