Corn Cockle. Common Soap-Wort.
Two funny names - one lovely chromolithograph showcasing their beautiful pinks, gleaned from Anne Pratt's 1889 Victorian botanical reference on flowering plants.
The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, top-edged in gold, and keyed with the flowers' common and Latin names The paper measures 6.75" x 9.375" (17x24 cm) and is smooth, showing slight edge tanning to betray its 125+ years.
Please expect the normal edge pings and bumps for a paper of this age - the corners are softened, but there are no tears, marks, creases, or folds. A lovely study to frame, fantastic to use in your art - card and tag creations, jewelry making, collage, scrap-book page making.
You are purchasing an original 1889 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
